The creation of Catania Worldwide is the latest step in the continuing evolution of the Catania family’s more than 75 years in the production, import/export and distribution of high quality fruit products to customers around the world.

It all began in Toronto in 1929 when Michael Leonard Catania created M.L. Catania Inc., a produce import and distribution business to service the Toronto area market. In 1946, Paul Catania Sr. joined his father in the business and M.L. Catania Inc. continued to grow to become the highly respected operation it is today.

In 1975, Paul Catania Jr. joined the family business and developed a vision of an international business operation with northern and southern hemisphere operations, extensive grower network and self-production. He led expansion of the Catania group of companies with the establishment of Stellar Distributing Inc. in Fresno, California in the early 1990s, Stellar Distributing east coast operations in Vineland, New Jersey and, in recent years, establishment of Catania Mexico.

Access to highest quality produce through an extensive network of growers and suppliers in both northern and southern hemisphere countries, and development of company owned and operated production properties including, an exciting new line of 100% organically grown products at the Stellar Distributing Inc. Maple Leaf Ranch in Madera, California; and a lime producing property near Veracruz, Mexico, provides Catania Worldwide with an expanding ability to self-supply and provide world-wide customers with high quality products virtually year-round.
