SAVORY fig & MASCARPONE pastry

Savor this delightful harmony of sweet and savory, where the creamy indulgence of mascarpone and goat cheese meets the natural sweetness of Catania figs.
Ingredients:
- 1 puff pastry sheet, homemade or store bought, thawed
- 1 lb fresh Catania figs, cut into ¼ inch slices
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- ½ cup goat cheese, crumbled
- Honey
- Pinch of Salt
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the puff pastry sheet on top and gently prick it with a fork to prevent excessive puffing.
- Spread an even thin layer of mascarpone cheese over the pastry, arrange the fig slices on top and sprinkle half of the crumbled goat cheese.
- Bake on the middle rack for about 20 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown and puffed around the figs.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes. Sprinkle a pinch of salt on top.
- To your liking, drizzle with honey and sprinkle the rest of the crumbled goat cheese on top. Serve warm and enjoy!
